Seawater Reverse Osmosis and Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis

Seawater Reverse Osmosis

AquaMob specializes in Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) technology. Our SWRO systems are capable of producing water suitable for drinking, irrigation, commercial, municipal, or industrial use. Regardless of your application, we offer SWRO systems tailored to your exact needs and ensure that the system runs properly once installed. When you work with us, we strive to provide a system that is exactly what you need, without unnecessary complications.

 

Our SWRO skids typically include:

  • Structural steel frame

  • 8 inch 1000 psi FRP pressure vessels

  • Spiral wound membrane elements

  • High pressure pump and energy recovery device

  • Stainless steel high pressure piping (316SS standard. Optional upgrades to Duplex 2205, or Super Duplex 2507 available.)

  • PVC low pressure piping

  • Process valves

  • Full system instrumentation and gauges

  • Control cabinet

Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis

We offer Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) systems for water that is lower than seawater salinity and generally comes from an inland, underground source. We can provide reverse osmosis water treatment systems to serve industrial, commercial, or municipal purposes such as drinking or irrigation. These BWRO systems run at lower pressure than typical seawater RO plants and can be used for a variety of purposes such as the removal of heavy metals, chemicals, or minerals. We now even offer a variety of energy recovery solutions for clients interested in reducing energy costs.

 

Our BWRO skids typically include:

  • Structural steel frame

  • 8-inch pressure vessels loaded with spiral wound membrane elements

  • High pressure pump

  • Stainless steel high pressure piping (304SS standard. Optional upgrades to 316SS, Duplex 2205, or Super Duplex 2507)

Nanofiltration and Ultrafiltration

Nanofiltration

Our nanofiltration systems use membranes to separate high charge molecules, chemicals, minerals, and organic matter from otherwise drinkable water. Nanofiltration does not reject many dissolved solids such as sodium and chloride, so it is well suited to areas where total dissolved solids are not a concern, but removal of larger contaminants is a must. Some applications may include water softening, removal of bacteria and other organics, chemicals, or harmful metals. Nanofiltration systems offer lower energy consumption compared to brackish water RO (BWRO) systems, which greatly reduces operating costs. Whether you’re trying to remove arsenic, harmful chemicals, or hardness, AquaMob  can provide a system that best suits your needs.

Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a common pretreatment process used to clean the feed water for reverse osmosis systems. These systems are capable of removing colloidal particles, viruses, bacteria, and suspended solids. UF systems require a Silt Density Index (SDI) less than 5.0, and ideally less than 3.0, for long term use. With UF filtrate SDI levels often reaching less than 1.0, UF is undoubtedly the best pretreatment system for RO.
